After a brief stop in Lake Villa just before the station, CN loaded sand train S750 starts to continue its journey to its destination on the NS for interchange. Today, this train has (soon to be had) a Norfolk Southern ES44AC as the leader and British Columbia Railroad C44-9WL number 4642 trailing 2nd on the head end. An NS AC44C6M would be trailing on the rear of this train today. For my first BCOL unit this year, I couldnt have expected it to be this one, and I am super happy to be able to catch the last BCOL paint C44-9WL. This trip to Illinois has by far been my best one yet. I hope my next annual trip will be just as good or even better.
