UP 6318 (ex-SP 280) leads the westbound MAXFWX-27 (Alexandria, LA - Fort Worth, TX) through Downtown Terrell, Texas. A very rare sight to see an ex-SP leading in this era, as the Union Pacific Railroad and Wabtec Corporation came together earlier this year to sign a contract worth 1.2B to rebuild every remaining GE C44AC left untouched on the roster by 2027. Therefore, all 5 remaining SP patched AC4400CWs and the last (active) CNW patched standing may not last long on the rails.
