IC 1017 leads CN E251-61 solo passed the site of the former Andersonville siding. In 2001, there was a head on collision between two GTW trains here, which resulted in the death of two crew members. A memorial dedicated to them was created and sits at the Durand Union Station in Durand, MI to this day.
