Southern Pacific heritage is alive and well at the North end of Springfield Yard in March 2016. A scarlet and gray GP60 is seen at sunset waiting for the night's Vaughn Dougren crew to climb aboard and go to work, while SP C-50-9 caboose 4720 waits for whenever it's next turn will be to be used in it's new job as a shoving platform.
